There is no universal “best setting”
Different games use different renderers, launchers, middleware and anti-cheat. A setting that improves one title can prevent another from launching.
A better tuning order
- Start with the default/recommended configuration.
- Confirm the launcher and game reach gameplay.
- Test the graphics translation option recommended for that specific title.
- Only then change synchronization or other advanced options, one at a time.
- Record the working combination before experimenting further.
Graphics settings inside the game
Resolution, shadows, volumetrics and upscaling can matter more than compatibility toggles once a title is running. Fanless MacBook Air models also benefit from settings that keep sustained load reasonable.
